At Plated, we shot nearly everything in the studio. From blog posts to menu shoots to marketing and social, there was a lot of content coming out of a relatively small space. So, it was difficult to narrow down this collection, but I did my best to represent the work of my small but mighty team.
When we decided to offer brunch, we wanted to make sure it felt brighter, to bring home the celebratory feeling of going out for brunch with friends. Really, we were just convincing people that brunch at home, with all the resulting cleanup, was actually a good idea.
And because everyone loves dessert, here’s a whole fresh-baked collection.
Shoot me a text if you can think of something less exciting to shoot than salt, pepper and olive oil. But that’s part of the fun, to take something a little boring and make it more interesting. I think we did alright.
With a demo that includes all kinds of different diets and preferences, it’s important to be considerate when showing photos of meat. So we had a fun challenge here, to sell the idea of “protein upgrades” for our customers without getting too “meaty.”
This Thanksgiving campaign is an absolute favorite of mine. On a tight deadline, we not only shot our stylized lifestyle shoot, but we were able to accomplish this set of monotone tablescapes simultaneously. I’m also proud to say that talent wrapped early on this shoot!
I love working on partner shoots. It’s always a fun challenge to merge two different visual styles in a way that represents both companies.
